Saturday 10/29/22

 Hi, Good luck to Karen Peabody, and Dave and Deanna Odell as they are racing the javelina 100 miler tomorrow!

We will be meeting at Shoreline cafe tomorrow where we will be starting our Tempo run in the parking lot uphill to Elise Way and back (just over 3.5miles). Those racing the Santa Barbara Half Marathon next week will be able to practice pacing and effort on those uphill miles and flowing down after the turn around.

Saturday 10/22/22

 Hi, Mike and Rusty are both out of town tomorrow.....so everyone will meet at Shoreline cafe at 6:30am, warmup 40min finishing at Elise Way/Meigs across from Lazy Acres and do their 4 mile tempo run to Milpas/Shoreline.

Saturday 10/15/22 3 weeks to Santa Barbara Half Marathon

Congratulations to Chicago Marathoners John Sim 3:08:20 PR! Shayne Mihalka 3:22:53, Julie Amble 3:26:46 and Reyna Talanian 3:38:11 

and Roy Mclaughlin at the Steamtown Marathon raced to a 3:20:30 for 2nd in his AG

All ran their Boston Qualifying times!

Additional Congratulations to Coach Mike for finishing the Hawaii Ironman!

Workout tomorrow: Meet at Vieja Valley Elementary School 6:30AM

Warm up 30 min easy finishing warmup at the Laguna Blanca Tennis Courts across from the Dirt Track on Las Palmas Dr.

Do 5x 100M strides

3 continuous laps (plus ~250meters for 4miles total) at 85% effort (~Half marathon race pace)


Cool down remaining miles.
