Happy 2022!! First Day of Practice Saturday 1/8/2022.

Happy New Year!! We hope you are all healthy and feeling strong. In 2018 we made it our goal to qualify as many SBRR runners as possible for the 2019 Boston marathon. We had 45 qualifiers and 45 made it to the start line Healthy! For a club the size of SBRR, those are HUGE numbers in both areas. For 2022, We are going to try and get as many interested SBRR runners to qualify for the 2023 Boston Marathon as possible. We have 13 Qualifiers so far! From January through August we have a list of races below which have proven to be lightning fast courses with good weather:
We would like to have as many SBRR runners as possible race the Ventura Half marathon...or if not interested or ready to race it, then use it as a training run. There is a team competition here and it would be fun to win it as we did a few years back.
On the list below, we favor the Mountains2Beach Marathon as a great local qualifying opportunity.

For those who choose to run a marathon in July/August...or choose not to run one at all.....we will also be training for the Carlsbad 5000, May 22nd, 2022 https://carlsbad5000.com
  1. Ventura Marathon /Half Marathon February 27th
  2. Revel Mt.Charleston Marathon, April 2 (www.runrevel.com)
  3. Mountains2Beach Marathon, May 29th (www.mountains2beachmarathon.com)
  4. Tunnel Marathon, (registration opens January 24th), June12th/Aug 14th (tunnel marathon.com)
  5. Jack and Jill Marathon, July 30th & 31st
