Mike Swan and Rusty Snow have over 40 years of combined experience coaching runners of all abilities from the beginner to the Olympic hopeful. They offer individualized coaching plans as well as a "workouts only" option. SBRR works out twice weekly and offer three workouts per week (Tuesday 6am-San Marcos HS, Tuesday 6pm-UCSB and Saturday 6:30am various locals in the SB County area. Hi Everyone,
We hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy and getting your runs in!
For this week
Warmup 30-40 minutes
Strides x 4-6 do these, but don't force it. relaxed and smooth to finish out the warmup
12 minutes at tempo effort, i.e. half marathon effort
jog 3 minutes
6x90 seconds at 5k effort, jog 60 seconds between each. take an extra 2 minutes after the last 90 second effort
12 minutes at tempo effort again.
cooldown 20-30 minutes
