Saturday 4/19/19 CONGRATULATIONS ALL BOSTON MARATHONERS!

Back from Boston and some great performances despite the over 90% humidity by all regardless of whether it was your day or not, We saw some great efforts. Wonderful weekend to travel and race as a true team!

We will be meeting at Mountain Drive and Gib tomorrow at 6:30am. Needless to say but those who raced Boston just a few days ago, tomorrow is either off or come for the warm up only.

Tuesday 4/15/19 workout

Hi, Mike and I are in Boston today and will see you at practice Saturday.
Workout today:
1600@threshold effort
2 min jog
3 sets of 3x400 with 60sec between 400s and 4 min between sets (set#1@10sec faster than your threshold pace for the 1600, set#2 5sec slower than set #1, set #3 same as set #1)
Others have their own workout and you know who you are.
Tough day in Boston yesterday but great day for all regardless.  Details to come.

Saturday 4/12/19

Hi, Mike and Rusty are in Boston this weekend with 39 other SBRR racers.
The workout tomorrow:
Meet at Vieja Valley, warmup 40min, 6x20sec strides, then from the 4 mile mark in the neighborhood run from mile 4 to mile 2 on the bike path at 85%effort, jog 5min, run back from 2mile to 4 mile at 10k race effort (above 90%effort and roughly 10-15sec/mi faster than the first 2 miles).
Cool down remaining miles.

BOSTON MARATHON WEEKEND

Well, less than a week away. The hay is in the barn so let’s go do this!!

A couple of updates:

1. The bus departure has been moved up. WE WILL NOW DEPART DOWNTOWN BOSTON AT 8:15. Please get there on time. We don’t know how close to start we can get with the bus so we may drop wave one off and chill somewhere and then drop later waves off, depending on what everyone want to do. 

2. A map of the bus pickup location is below, but we are meeting at corner of Saint James Ave/Clarendon St (facing Dartmouth St pointing toward route 9 on ramp by Copley square)

2. Our reservations at Coppersmith is for 6:00pm on Monday evening. This should allow everyone time enough to finish the race, relax and then be ready to celebrate. 

3. Our contact person in Boston will be Dawn Schroeder. She will be the only one on the bus with a cell phone (that I know of). Please contact her if you have any problems race morning. 

4. Future updates will be here on this Blog (http://sbrunrace.blogspot.com). Please check in there on Sunday night or Monday morning to see if anything has changed.
