Mike Swan and Rusty Snow have over 40 years of combined experience coaching runners of all abilities from the beginner to the Olympic hopeful. They offer individualized coaching plans as well as a "workouts only" option. SBRR works out twice weekly and offer three workouts per week (Tuesday 6am-San Marcos HS, Tuesday 6pm-UCSB and Saturday 6:30am various locals in the SB County area. Hi, We are 17 days away from the Boston Marathon day! Everyone looks great so far. last long run tomorrow. We will do 2 loops of the Pebble Hill loop outlined below. (you can click on the pic to enlarge the course map). The Carlsbad 5000 is this Sunday and Rich Cagley is racing and happy to report he is running great and ready to go. Good luck Rich!

Hi, one week to Carlsbad 5K and 3 weeks to Boston! Big day tomorrow for Boston marathoners. Below you will see the first 7.3mi of your workout....when you get to the bike path and Milpas, turn around and retrace your steps finishing at Lazy acres. It'll be ~12miles total.
Non Boston folks will do the first 5miles of the course you see below.

Hi, Goleta and Santa Barbara schools are closed tomorrow because of a major rain storm coming into our area tonight and tomorrow.
Practice is still on tomorrow But please don’t feel the need to come if you don’t feel safe driving to the Hs.
The nature of the workout may change as well depending on what’s happening in the morning.

4 weeks to Carlsbad 5K
6 weeks to Boston!
Tomorrow we are meeting in the parking lot next to what used to be Zizzos Coffee 370 Storke Rd, Goleta 93117 and we will be doing a flat Marathon Pace run for all Boston runners. See Map below....it's a figure eight 2.4mi course that most have done before.
Hi, Good luck to all 43 SBRR runners entered in the Ventura Half Marathon and to Sven Dybdahl and Lynn Fitzgibbons in the Ventura Marathon this Sunday! Weather looks to be cold so dress warmly so as not to shiver before the start. Throw away clothes are recommended. Please wear our SBRR uniforms if you have one.
